Honourable Babangida Nguroje's distinguished career reflects his commitment to public service and leadership. After his primary and secondary education journey, he then proceeded to the prestigious University of Maiduguri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1997, followed by a Master of Business Administration in 2001.

In 2009, Hon. Nguroje enhanced his leadership skills by obtaining a certificate in Leadership from Harvard Business School in the United States. He further solidified his academic credentials with a Doctorate degree (Ph.D. Honoris Causa) in Philanthropy Management from Pottstown University, USA (African campus) in 2019.

Hon. Nguroje's political career is marked by significant achievements, including his election as the youngest Deputy Speaker of the Nigeria House of Representatives. He also served as a Member of the ECOWAS Parliament, Chairman of the House Committee on Primary Health Care, and a member of various other committees such as Foreign Affairs and Appropriations.

His contributions extend beyond the legislative arena. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Hadejia Jama'are River Basin Development Authority in 2013. He also held the position of Chairman of the Board of the Governing Council for the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission and currently chairs the LGC Nigeria-Canada.

Honourable Nguroje's exemplary service has earned him numerous accolades, including the National Honours Award of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (OFR). He is also a recipient of the African Independent Achiever’s Award by the Independent Magazine, the Black History International Award by New Africa Pilot Magazine, the Leadership and Governance Award from Nigeria-Canada Incorporated, the Award of Good Governance by the Royal Commonwealth Society of Nigeria, and the Millennium Premier League Award, among others.

He is a member of the National Institute of Management and a Doctorate Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Commerce (NIM).
