Dr. Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu is a Nigerian lawyer and politician. He started his political journey at the age of 26 years. In 1979, when he became a member of the old Oyo House of Assembly, as the youngest Honourable member to take the office.

In 1983, he was appointed as the Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Home Affairs (in the Victor Omololu Olunloyo administration). He has also taken the leadership position as the Attorney General and Oyo State Commissioner for Justice (in the Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja government).

Dr. Shittu has also served Nigeria in the Federal level during the first tenure of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, when he was appointed as the Minister of Communications in Nigeria from the year 2015 - 2019.
